Cargo Ship Missing During Hurricane Joaquin

For more than 36 hours, there's been no word from, and no sign of, the U.S.-flagged container ship El Faro. That means no news on what's happened to the 28 Americans and five Poles aboard, faced with the full fury of Hurricane Joaquin and its up to 150 mph gusts, 30-foot waves and potentially 25 inches of rain. The U.S. Coast Guard dispatched a cutter ship, an MH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter and a C-130 Hercules airplane on Friday. But while the C-130 flew as low as 2,000 feet -- far below the normal 10,000 feet for such a storm -- it was not able to get close to the last known location off the Bahamas of El Faro, which means lighthouse in Spanish, much less spot or communicate with its occupants.

Taylor Swift Donates Money To Help Boy With Cancer

When Taylor became aware of a GoFundMe account designated for this cause, Swift donated to help the young boy with his cancer battle. The child's uncle, Toshi, is one of the backup dancers on Taylors "1989 World Tour." Baby Ayden, I’m lucky enough to perform with your uncle Toshi on tour,” noted Swift. “All of us are praying for you and your mama and sending so much love your way. Love, Taylor." Although the goal for Ayden's GoFundMe was 20,000 when Swift donated 50,000 for the little boy with cancer, she took the level beyond the family's hopes and prayers.

Drake Celebrates the Opening of his Restaurant

On Monday night, the 28-year-old rapper had a low-key celebration for the opening of Fring's, his new restaurant in his hometown of Toronto, and there was one very important guest.

Longtime friend and now rumored girlfriend Serena Williams was spotted entering Drizzy's party, wearing stiletto pumps, a white skirt and denim top. Also in attendance at the opening were Jada Pinkett Smith and Jaden Smith.

"Serena and Drake are indeed a couple," a source tells E! News. "Drake and Serena have been spending more time together over the past few busy weeks. They have both been there for each other during really important times in their life."

The insider continues, "Drake is a really great support system for Serena and also Serena is for Drake. It was a great night at the opening of Drake's new restaurant. Serena got along with Drake's mom and they really hit it off. They were dancing and having a great time celebrating Drake."

Apple Unveils Ipad Pro

Apple announced the iPad Pro, its largest tablet ever, on Wednesday at an event in San Francisco.

"Today, we have the biggest news in iPad since the iPad," said Apple CEO Tim Cook in front of a crowd at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

The tablet features a 12.9-inch screen, which is much bigger than the iPad Air 2, which has a screen that measures "only" 9.7 inches. The iPad Pro's screen features 5.6 million pixels, which is more pixels than are packed into the Retina display on the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
